Solar Radiation Sensor

It is used to measure various aspects of the energy imparted by the sun in the field. The same sensor is also used to determine level of water evaporation.

Rain Gauge Sensor

It measures rainfall and monitor rain rate over a given time period.

Air Temperature, Pressure and Humidity

This sensor is used to measure temperature changes over a day or week. The Air Pressure sensor is an automated device used to determine a pressure system and therefore part of an Automatic Weather Station (AWS). The Air Humidity sensor is an automated devices used to measure how much water the air can hold at any given temperature. This measure of air moisture, along with temperature, can make or break an agricultural operation, so it’s vital to get it right.

Leaf Wetness Sensor

It is a sensor shaped like a leaf and measures surface moisture of the plants on a scale of 0-15 (dry to saturated). Data from these sensors are used for disease control.

The sensor monitor the soil temperature to detect freezing or high temperatures that can put crops at risk.

Leaf wetness sensor

The reading provides information about the presence of water on the surface of a leaf. This result primarily from three sources: (1) water that has been intercepted during a rainfall or fog event, (2) over-head irrigation, (3) or dew which can form on any surface of the crop.

Reading of Soil Moisture data

The reading provides information about the volumetric water content in the soil. Measuring soil moisture is important to manage irrigation systems more efficiently. Knowing the exact soil moisture conditions on the fields will reduce water usage for irrigation and to increase yields.  This will have an impact on the quality of the crop due to improve management of soil moisture during critical plant growth stages.

Reading of Solar Radiation data

The reading provides information about the leaf reaction to sunlight as the leaf is the principal photosynthetic functional unit which capture the light from the sun thus has a direct impact on the vegetable productivity.

Alarm for intensive rainfall

The system offers the possibility to activate alarm for intensive rainfall to keep you updated about the amount of rainfall in the yield.
